Although the accurate date and origin of this competitive activity is unknown, the 4,000-year-old drawings saw in the tomb in Egypt manifested that men during ancient times were playing field hockey. land of England during 19th century.
The Blackheath hockey club was established in year 1849, and the Hockey Association in London was created in the year 1886. And the first hockey international competition was held in 1895. And over the years, hockey has been recognized as one of Olympic sports. Women hockey became popular when it was included in the 1980 Moscow Olympic. And since a lot of women who became fascinated with this sport,
field hockey has been the one of the best sports for them.
Nevertheless, until today, nobody knows the origin of the name hockey. But many people think it came from the word "hurling". But anyway, no matter who was the first person thought this game, and regardless what is origin of its name, field hockey is one of the favorite sports in the world.
