Lacrosse

I always watch my bother when he plays lacrosse during our school fest. He is one of the best players of the team, and I feel proud about it. Actually, it's not only because my brother is a player, but also I have learned about the unique origin of this exciting sport. Lacrosse has been with us as early as 1636. It was a Jesuit missionary who first documented this game. The basic rules in this sport were standardized in 1867, and the New York University formed a lacrosse team in 1877.

Lacrosse is recognized as the first sport in America. It bloomed in North American Indian, and nurtured in the land of Canada. The modern lacrosse has been one of the favorite sports of America, as well as the British Commonwealth. If you enjoy basketball, or soccer, or hockey, you will certainly enjoy Lacrosse, too. Combine all these three ball games, and you will have lacrosse. More so, this sport can be played by people of all ages. That's why, the numbers of players are increasing every year. As a matter of fact, the growth of Lacrosse as a sport in America is as fast as the movements of the athletes during a game.
