The Germans as well as millions of soccer fans worldwide can hardly wait with excitement as the start of the 2006
World Cup nears. Some people though have raised security concerns considering the number of expected foreigners to flock the city during the event. Needless to say, the German organizers of the 2006 World Cup promised to spare the people from the inconvenience of waiting at long lines. This assurance came after FIFA head Sepp Blatter expressed earlier this week his concern that a complicated ticket control might lead to
more disorganization and crowd trouble outside while the seats inside are empty.
During an advertisement though, Franz Becken, the chief of the German organizing team for the 2006 World Cup, that the
differences in views between the hosts and the governing body of the event were only minor problems. The German organizers said that they expected that ticket control would be one of their main challenges during the entire event. Horst Schmidt, the vice president of the organizing team, assured though that their committee would do everything in order to maintain order, security, and a smooth flow of things. The 2006 World Cup will commence on June 9 with the match between Germany and Costa Rica.
