Ming and Tim McGrady received the largest votes according to the first returns of the 2006 NBA All-Star balloting which was released December 14.
Yao received the largest votes with his 729,178 points, which was only followed by McGrady's 600,506 votes. It's no secret that the Rockets has been on a trail of bad luck with its 8-12 standing. The supporters of the team have been backing them and cheering the players on even with the way they have been playing lately. McGrady had been forced to sit eight games out because he has been suffering from
back spasms.
The 2006 NBA All-Star balloting will continue until January 22, 2006, after which the included stars will be announced on February 2 of the same year.
